Salesforce To Launch CRM Offering For Facebook Messenger Later This Year

Last week at its F8 developer conference, Facebook announced chatbots which enable businesses to create artificial intelligence-based customer experiences in Messenger. At launch, Salesforce was one of the companies that had already worked with Facebook to have its own example ready, and as a result, the company simultaneously announced Salesforce for Messenger.

The offering connects the Salesforce CRM to Messenger and enables businesses to create personalized experiences informed by CRM data.

“Now, companies can offer 1-to-1 engagement with customers across every channel including Messenger to create seamless journeys across sales, service and marketing experiences,” a spokesperson for Salesforce said in an email.
